Obama: Pennsylvannians are Bitter

Obama may pay for his comments about Pennsylvanians.

On a recorded speech in San Francisco, Sen. Obama commented the following regarding people from Pennsylvania:

“You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. … So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

This may even further alienate blue-collar voters and affect his campaign to be the Democratic Candidate for the Presidency. How will Clinton and McCain react? No doubt, these two will jump on this issue like a wolf jumps on a sleeping sheep.

Here’s the transcribed and recorded speech.
