Former Haitian alleged cocaine trafficker and rebel leader Guy Philippe has eluded capture in eight months.  Helicopters and jets have tried to capture Philippe when he escaped from his southern Haiti home.  This 39-year-old guy has led an insurrection that has prompted Jean-Bertrand Aristide (Haiti’s former president) to leave.  However, he is denying engagement in drug trafficking.

Maybe one of the reasons why India is being plagued economically is because of the hundreds of political parties existing there right now.  There are 59 registered and recognized parties.  However, there are 500 registered and unrecognized parties as well.  You can just imagine the amount that they are spending here per annum.  This amount has not yet included the expenses of Election Commission of India!

A Song For Obama

Hollywood and US presidents aren’t normally words you would connect with each other (except, of course, for the late US president Ronald Reagan). But when election time comes, the two worlds converge as stars campaign for their candidates. This election, however, has seen celebrities doing more than the usual for the Democrat’s candidate, Barack Obama.

Stars like Oprah, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Affleck and Scarlett Johansson have been actively supporting Obama. Now, there are even music videos by will.i.am, singer of The Black Eyed Peas, called “Yes We Can” and “We are the Ones”, which have been released in YouTube and Dipdive.com, featuring cameos by several celebrities who support Obama. It is now being promoted as a viral video on Obama’s campaign website. “Yes We Can” even won an Emmy for Best New Approaches in Daytime Entertainment, and won a Webby Award for will.i.am as “Artist of the Year”. Check out more about the songs in Wikipedia.

We need a good US President

Joe Lieberman believes that it would take a very well prepared and ready president to be able to face the numerous attacks that the Islamic groups have been throwing their way. With another possible attack on the United States on the new presidents first year of administration, Lieberman believes that it is best to be prepared by military forces, and security for whatever may come.

Retired General Wesley Clark who is backing up Sen. Obamas running for presidency believes otherwise. Of course it is good for a standing president to have a good, celebrated military background, however, his efficiency as president will not only be based on that. What the country needs is someone who has good judgment, of which Sen. Barack Obama obviously have shown the American people ever since he has served the country.

And I think what we need to do, Bob, is we need to stop talking about the old politics of left and right, and we need to pull together and move the country forward. And I think that’s what Barack Obama will do.” Clark told Scheiffer on Face The Nation.

CARS in FLORIDA, streaked with ANTI-Obama SLOGANS

Posted on May 30th, 2011 by Gary

60 vehicles in Orlando, Florida, have been trashed all over by hate words that would like to send a message to running president Obama. Over 10 US Dollars have been the estimated cost of damages done to these cars. Happened just outside the Orlando City Hall, the cars have been streaked with hate words towards Obama and McCain, however, support messages for Hilary Clinton have also been written.

With lines like, “Obama smokes crack,” the vandals seemed like people who wanted to bring Obama down, not only politically, but as a human being as well. Police officers believe that the vandalism was done Saturday afternoon and by people who had no fear, for the City Hall was just across the street.

I wonder how Iran will react to this? According to the aspiring Democratic Presidential Candidate, Hillary Clinton, she is willing to totally obliterate Iran if it ever uses nuclear missiles against Israel.

The statement was mentioned during an interview with a morning TV Show.

“We should be looking to create an umbrella of deterrence that goes much further than just Israel. Of course I would make it clear to the Iranians that an attack on Israel would incur massive retaliation from the United States. But I would do the same with other countries in the region … . You can’t go to the Saudis or the Kuwaitis or UAE and others who have a legitimate concern about Iran and say, well, don’t acquire these weapons to defend yourself unless you’re also willing to say we will provide a deterrent backup.”

Obama: Pennsylvannians are Bitter

Obama may pay for his comments about Pennsylvanians.

On a recorded speech in San Francisco, Sen. Obama commented the following regarding people from Pennsylvania:

“You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. … So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

This may even further alienate blue-collar voters and affect his campaign to be the Democratic Candidate for the Presidency. How will Clinton and McCain react? No doubt, these two will jump on this issue like a wolf jumps on a sleeping sheep.

Here‘s the transcribed and recorded speech.

Easing Out Mugabe

As Zimbabwe waits for the official result of the Presidential Vote, Time was able to secure an interview with the Presidential Candidate, Morgan Tsvangirai. His party, Movement for Democratic Change (M.D.C.), says he has won with a 50.3% vote. Mugabe’s party, Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (Zanu-PF), expectedly demanded for a recount.

Below are just some of the highlights in the interview:

Time: What lies in the future for Zimbabwe?
Tsvangirai: We’ll manage to get Mugabe out. Mugabe is being deserted. No one wants to touch Mugabe in the region now. Eventually, we will ease him out. After that, we need to set the country in a new direction, giving people freedom, dignity and opportunity. Zimbabwe has potential. With all our resources, mineral and human, we are well positioned to be a prosperous country.

Obama Responds to ‘Bitter’ Criticism

Since his last comments on Pennsylvanians, Obama has been attacked by both Hillary Clinton and John McCain. Although he expected it from McCain, he was surprised that Clinton got on it as well.

“I expected this out of John McCain,” Obama said. “But I’ve got to say, I’m a little disappointed when I start hearing the exact same talking points coming out of my Democratic colleague Hillary Clinton. She knows better.”

So what did Hillary have to say about it? She said that Obama’s remarks were “elitist, out of touch and frankly, patronizing.” McCain mirrored the same sentiments as well.

Obama then went on the offensive against Clinton by mocking her support for gun rights and at one point saying, “Shame on her.” He also mentioned that his comments earlier were “subject to be twisted,” but added, “It sounds like some politics being played.”
